Thank you!

That's quite a list, Elizabeth, but don't despair, they seem easy enough fixes! If you have more than one PL notes, it's best to tackle them starting from the end so that the time stamps remain the same for all the ones you haven't done yet.

If you have questions, just ask! :)
Cheers, Ava.

One minute test has been OK'd.

I hadn't realized there were several sentences in French in these sections, I will do my best with the pronunciation :')

There are online dictionaries that can help with pronunciation.

We also have our very own thread here:
viewtopic.php?f=23&t=40285

where you can ask native speakers if they want to record the foreign text for you to emulate the sentence later on in your own recording. It usually works.

Thanks for claiming!

Conan, section 14 is yours, enjoy!

bdixon, you're in for section 18, but please make sure that your test is [OK] before you start recording here. Always best to fiddle with the settings BEFORE you do a complex section (and yours is a pretty long one, somewhere between 30 - 40 minutes finished.)

Have fun on here, both of you! :D

Section 18 PL Notes:
~15:32 stumble of "much"
~21:08 "afterwards" was separated into two words which might make it hard to follow
~28:38 "tarry" (you pronounced it like the word about tar rhyming with star instead of the other meaning which rhymes with carry)

The volume is a bit low on this one at ~83 dB where we'd aim to have it above 86dB. Do you know how to amplify without clipping (using the compressor or limiter in audacity)?

Here's a series of 3 effects that should fix it automatically if you run them in this order:
Normalize (DC ticked, peak ticked -0.0, stereo unticked)
Compressor (Threshold -14, Noise Floor -25, Ratio 7:1, Attack 0.5, Release 1.9, Make up to 0dB ticked, compress peaks unticked)
Loudness Normalisation ('perceived loudness', -20 LUFS, the two checkboxes don't matter).

Hope that helps!
