Let's start with the ending (and the shorter chapter). Here's section 40, with a runtime of 15:14:

I definitely butchered that name. Thankfully, it only came up once.

Hi Thom,
I enjoyed listening to your recording! There are a few PL notes:
--Please shorten the opening silence to about 1 second.
--When I ran the file through Checker, the overall volume is a bit low at 97.3 dB. I will let Leni determine if it needs to be amplified; she can help you with that process. The volume also seemed to dip lower at 2:27 and at 11:57, but I still could hear the words.
--At 5:54, please change the title from "The Skipper and the Sea" to "The Skipper and His Ship."
--At 23:54 please change "funny" to "sunny"
--At 25:37 add the word "silent" in the phrase "As through the silent valley..."
--At 26:24 add the line "Translation of Charles Harvey Genung."

Thank you so much,
Lora

Great. I will record more shortly. Using this as a way to taste a few Dumas, fils, plays to see if I should run more of them later....

Thanks, Todd

Here is Section 34. Length 26:32

https://librivox.org/uploads/leni/worldsbestliterature12_34_various_128kb.mp3

EDIT: By the way, in the first play excerpt, I used the normal practice in a dramatic work of leaving out the name of the speaker of each line - there were only two speakers in this excerpt - and of deleting any stage direction that was conveyed by the spoken words, such as "interrupting" or "angrily". If you don't like that I'll add them in. (The second play excerpt had more speakers in it and so I left the speaker names in that part of the recording.)

Thanks, Todd
