A note about something I learned about Audacity on this. And my apologies if this is something that’s already been covered already in the excellent guides available here.

When proof-listening, I found I made a number of mistakes (like reading “south” for “north” in one sentence). I didn’t want to stop and make the correction; I just wanted to tag it and keep listening. But Audacity doesn’t have a bookmark function per se.

Except that it does. It’s just called “labels.” I added a label at the point where the mistake occurred, and it was easy to go back later and find all the mistakes I noted and correct them in one short pass.

Interesting, I wasn't aware of this feature. Frankly, I'm using a rather Stone Age recording workflow myself.

I'd like to read Chapter 9.

It will be my first book chapter (after starting with a few shorter pieces) but since I speak Arabic, I'm hoping that will help with the Arabic names, even though they're transliterated into English.

Thanks!
