Thank you, Jordan! This project is on fire! 8-)

There's an extra "p" at the end of the filename. If you need to re-upload the file for another reason, please fix that. Otherwise, we'll fix it during cataloging.

(I had an unexpected free day....)
Wow, thank you!

Looks like this one accidentally went into Leni's folder. I'll leave a note for Lynne in the MW.

Yoicks. That was no accident — that was a mistake! I can reupload if you’d prefer.

No need to reupload unless there are edits. I’ll grab it from Leni’s folder and she’ll never know

Chapter 10, Melinda Cumming

Thank you Michael for the excellent instructions on getting volume levels set more evenly. The other fixes are also completed. Currently 47 min 4 sec.

May I record Chapter XIII? I plan to use the app "translate," type in the English word from the text and listen to the Arabic pronunciation. If you recommended another way to hear the Arabic words pronounced, of course I would follow your suggestion.

Great, thanks! I'm afraid I don't know an automated way to hear Arabic pronunciations of transliterated words, but I'd be glad to help, if needed. If you have questions, you're welcome to ask in this thread or send me a PM.

One small issue that needs to be fixed:

(6:26) editing glitch: "There could scarcely have been a better example"

Also, please remove the extra "p" from the end of the filename.

Thanks,
Michael

Here is Chapter 9

https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/syriadesertsown_09_bell_128kb.mp3

This is my first book chapter for LibriVox - I've only done a couple poems before this, so this was a much bigger project, but I really enjoyed it, and I gave myself a crash course in Audacity editing, noise reduction, etc. (I live on a noisy city street, so tried to do the recording early in the morning before things got too crazy.)

Any and all constructive criticism happily welcomed!

I’d like to do Section 14 if it’s still open. Seeing as how it’s the last one, I didn’t know if there might be special plans for it.

Why, yes, we've been saving it for our most prolific contributor. ;)

And with that, we've off to Readers Found! 8-)

Michael, in case you haven't found it yet, you can move to Readers Found by clicking on the hammer icon at the bottom of the page, then "Move Topic", then "Readers Found" 8-)
