let me know what you think and i'll edit the changes necessary
((also, can i be taken off for Part 2. Chapter 8: Comrades, as i don't think i have as much time for reading?
Thank you! There were no overlaps in this version! However, there were a few lines that were missing - they must have been accidentally cut in the editing process. I've made a note of which ones as well as one about a word change:
- At 0:25, “The Devil in the Wilderness,” you say “Of the Devil of the Wilderness.”
- At 7:03, after “looked at her companion,” could you include these lines that were left out? “He was sitting with his chin on his hand, gazing across the ravine. He did not stir or glance in her direction. His yellow face was seamed in a thousand wrinkles.”
- At 7:10, after “unnatural in his stillness,” could you include the following line? "'Nick!' she said at length with hesitation.”
- At 7:27, after “‘Will you go first?’” could you include the following lines? “His gaiety baffled her, but she did not feel wholly reassured. She got up slowly, and as she did so, her attention was caught by something that sent a thrill of dismay through her.”
- At 7:32, after “inspection at present,” could you include the following lines? “She turned horrified eyes to his face, as he thrust them down into a bunch of fern. "How dreadful!" she exclaimed. "They are all cut and gashed. I didn't know you were barefooted.”
- At 7:41, after “doesn’t hurt in the least,” could you include this line? “He grinned again as he uttered this cheerful lie, but Muriel was not deceived.”
I'll share the editing method I use when I need to re-take a line, which might help keep the overlapping from happening when you edit these lines in: I record the line in a separate Audacity file (File>New), then select it, then copy and paste it where it needs to go in the original file. I hope this is helpful, and as always, I'm happy to answer any questions you have!
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.
