Hi Michael -
I just uploaded Section 59 and tried the mic higher to see if it allayed the "pop" issues. It definitely resulted in a lower volume, but I upped it to 90 db.
Will also go back and insert that missing word at the end of Section 58.
Hi Lisa,

You're sounding great, and it definitely helped with the popping. I heard just a couple of instances, and they were faint -- nothing to worry about. Section 59 is PL OK!

If I find time I will!
(PS- I don't live in the same place as my mic. So I have more time for research than recording...)

Hi Kelly,

I see you completed your 1-minute test. That's great. The section you claimed (29) is now officially assigned to you. I'm not sure about the purpose of the recording you've just posted here. Are you trying to do another test before recording your section?

Hi, here's section 18.

https://librivox.org/uploads/leni/cambridgemodernhistory2_18_128.mp3 [39:37]

The difference in my micro, at the 2/3rd mark, is fairly noticeable, but I was not able to sufficiently play with the settings to make it sound the same. If you have tips on how to make it all sound crisper, from the same source, it would be appreciated.

I am not very happy overall with the quality, but I could restart. Next time, I will record in one go, and it will hopefully not start clicking again.

In any case, I will start section 19 (but if the micro you hear at the very beginning and starting at 29:36 is not good enough, I can get a different one).

Thanks!

I spot-checked it briefly, and it sounds ok. I'll let you know if I notice anything else on closer inspection.
