Here is section 50:
https://librivox.org/uploads/leni/cambridgemodernhistory2_50_128kb.mp3
Length is 33 min 42 sec.
At about 20:15, which is where I'd stopped and resumed, there's a notable difference in tone. I'm not aware of anything I did different in terms of setting or microphone placement, or anything I might do to even it out. Let me know if there's anything I can or should do. I have no problem doing it over from scratch if that's what is needed. Otherwise... is PL the next step?
No issues with the reading!

There are just a couple of technical modifications to make:
1) There should be no more than 1 second of silence at the beginning of the recording. Currently ~2 seconds.
2) There should be ~5 seconds of silence at the end of the recording. Currently ~12 seconds.
3) Also please shorten the silence before the outro. Five seconds is too long for an internal pause. I recommend ~2 seconds.
Thanks,
Michael

If this is acceptable, please put me down for Section 51 as well.

Thank you! Section 50 is PL OK.

Congratulations on your first completed LivriVox contribution! Section 51 is yours.
Just one minor point for the future. We ask readers to provide duration of the track for every new upload. This serves as an extra check to ensure that we have the right version of the recording.

Section 1 is PL OK!
Thank you, Leni! Section 72 is ready for PL. It's hard to decide how to pronounce Latin in discussions of this era. I ended up switching back and forth between classical and ecclesiastical, I guess depending on whether the author struck me as more of a humanist or a theologian.

Oops! Brain interrupt. I had it written down on a notepad next to the keyboard for exactly that purpose and forgot. It was 33 min 25 sec.
