Saw the DPL ad. I also see that Rapunzelina has been doing some proof listening. I am a newbie, but very interested in this topic. I'd like to try my hand at listening to a section or two, but I'll gladly move on if Rapunzelina wants to take on the project solo.

Yes, all of those issues should be fixed now. Thanks. Seriph

Just to make sure for the spot-check, did you address these pl notes for section 3?

Rapunzelina wrote: April 27th, 2021, 2:46 pm I listened to Section 3, PL notes:
at 40:30, 41:10 and 47:37 the reader included their own paraphrase/translation for the Latin text. (to be removed)

at 49:56, there's a sound glitch on the phrase "A system that will offer the most satisfactory solutions"

Yes, I am still here. I've been watching the conversation, but I wasn't sure if there was something available to do or not. Is there something in need of doing?

Thank you, hgolds! You could spot check sections 1 and 3 for the following fixes:

Beginning and ending silence for section 1.

For Section 3:
at 40:30, 41:10 and 47:37 the reader included their own paraphrase/translation for the Latin text. (to be removed)

at 49:56, there's a sound glitch on the phrase "A system that will offer the most satisfactory solutions"

Spot checks complete sections 1 and 3 PL OK.

I’ll claim Section 22: Chapter VII Part 1, if I may; I’m feeling in need of something beautiful.

This is no easy read. It was very clear with excellent diction. Just a few things.

1:56 "Newton's" should be "Newman's."

8:16 "For it reaches by," should be "For it is reached by"

9:30--9:33 "To some idea," is repeated.

9:53 "Just as a man is not merely sentient being," should be, "Just as a man is not a merely sentient being."

10:45 Add "End quote," after "What makes us consider a colour beautiful." Remove "end quote" after "Which it pleases," at 10:51

13:33 Change, "The variety of subjective dispositions," to "This variety in ..."

15:00 Remove "Es" from "Non es disputandum."

Since the original BC is not around anymore to make a decision, I was thinking of changing the PL level to Standard, instead of word perfect, which might boost the project's progress. What do you think, Phil?
