Please apply the technical edits described in your test thread (link below) and reupload and repost in that same thread for someone to check there again. Once they have given you the "OK" you may start recording your chapter for "The Elect Lady" when you have time!

Once you have had a chance to apply the technical edits described in your test thread (link below), reupload and repost in that same thread, someone will check over your file again. Welcome to LibriVox, Aaronlee! Since this is your first post on the forum, there is one step we need you to do before beginning to record for any projects. But I will place a 2 month hold on your requested sections so they should still be waiting for you when you’re all set.

First, we need you to record a “1 Minute Test” for review. As LibriVox explains, “This is NOT an audition, but a way to check to make sure all your technical settings are correct, your volume loud enough, etc. You will find the information for the 1-Minute Test Recording here: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test The instructions also tell you how to upload your test and then post in the Listeners and Editors Wanted forum so someone can give you feedback on it.” Once that recording has been approved, you are free to come back here and start recording your section! Just ask if you have any questions.

Many new readers don't get around to completing this step within 2 months, and then I have to open up their chapters to other claims again. The sooner you can finish this step, the sooner you can enjoy recording actual chapters!

Also, if you would prefer a different name than your forum username to be used for your credits in the catalogue, let us know. Some readers use the same in both places, while others use their real name or a nickname.

I'd be glad to pick up being DPL. I'm fairly new to this but have started DPLing another book (and getting advice, when in doubt, from Silverquill/Larry), so I think I know the ropes now. I love MacDonald (and greatly enjoyed your reading of "What's Mine's Mine," Hannah Mary--thanks!) but I've shied away from volunteering to read him because I can't speak at all convincingly in Scots. But I'd enjoy the chance to proof-listen.

Wonderful! Welcome to the project, Joanna! Larry would be a great teacher, so I'm not concerned. And feel free to post or PM me if any questions come up regarding this project.

I have removed the tilde advertising for a DPL, and Ann (our MC) can give you access to the MW.
