So ... please feel to assign the residue to me when and as appropriate..
You'll have seen the MC's advice to hold off claiming passages until this goes live - I've almost finished filling the MW, so please be a little patient.

Cheers,
Paul

I am happy to do that too!

Perhaps you can let Alan and I know though before you go public so we can re-claim?

Thanks -

Lynda
Hi Paul - can you please assign my sections to me now that it seems you have finished with the MW?

Many thanks -

Sorry Paul - it looked like the MW was done as there were no more empty spaces in it. Fine waiting until you are re-organized :)

Hi, I am so excited about this read.

May I claim (read) these parts please.

39 Shahrazad and Shahryar
57 The Tale of the Simpleton Husband
58 The Tale of the Three Men and our Lord Isa
61 The Tale of the Devout Woman Accused of Lewdness

Thanks bunches,
Kathi

P.S. If they are a male voice needed, I have a deep voice for a girl. (Alto when singing too). But diversified, as I can speak softer if for a female.

Hello everyone. I'm hoping to make a claim when the book is ready. It would be my very first reading and I think starting here would be ideal, as I can follow the thread more accurately.

Hi all...

I think we're ready to roll. My attempts to equalise the section lengths without losing the book structure haven't been entirely successful, so let's go with what we've got.

alanmapstone, Lmnei, DickBD & Kathimariewalsheck - I've allocated requested sections on a first come, first served basis.

I don't think voice is an issue, particularly since you've signed up for commentary sections rather than narrative ones.

Welcome to LibriVox. The Thousand and One Nights is a great place to start your audiobook journey and the project has had a high proportion of new readers over its length - indeed, my first reading was for volume 7.

Before you start recording part of a book we like you to record a test piece first. This isn't an audition so much as to check that you can produce a file that meets LibriVox's technical specifications. Details are here: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test When you've had a successful test, come back and select the sections you want to read. When you make your first reservation, please also let me know how you'd like your name to appear in the catalogue.

Cheers,
Paul

Hi there Paul -

Congrats on getting this set up!

Can I also have 48-50 and 55 too? I am currently recording and they look fun too!
