I asked my librarian about the noise, and she said, "no one would come here
if they weren't allowed to talk out loud." So I read out loud.
Je lis à haute voix car refléchir fait trop de bruit!

Hi Lynnet!
Are you a DPL of this book? Just a curiosity, for I can`t find this information at the beginning of the thread...
Thanx!

Ok, thanks!
Then, may be you can explain me please the following thing which I can`t figure out well, for now?
Why do a good amount of projects often come PL-ed by the same people who do not claim for a DPL?
I mean, why do the same volunteer proof-listen, for example, 85 or more % of the same book without claiming to be a DPL?
Is there smth in a DPL which I do not understand well, as a newbie?
Why do people avoid to be a DPL, dodge it?
Thanx!

Another one question pls...
Do you mean you didn`t have a DPL or you still don`t have it?
If you do not have it, shoudn`t the project have "~" at the beginning of the title?
Thanx!

Being a DPL is a big commitment, which some people don’t feel happy taking on... or their current circumstances don’t allow, but they pop in when they can.
As for this project, I don’t mind whether or not we have a DPL. I am enjoying the book, so am happy to do it. But if someone volunteers, all well and good. TBH, I have never had anyone come along once we are in Readers Found. The exception would be those projects posted in Listeners Wanted as looking for a DPL. Those listed as Complete have all the sections recorded but not all proof listened.

I`m looking for projects to PL not in the various sections of the forum, but here.
Ok, thank you, Lynnet!
As far as I understood, nothing prevents me from continuing to find projects in the same place and try to be a DPL where there are not. When time and other conditions permit me to do it...

That is probably not the best place to look. You are relying on everyone keeping all information up to date, which is not the case. The best place to look is in Listeners Wanted, or many seasoned DPLs keep an eye on the Launch Pad to see new projects, many of which don’t have a DPL yet.HandmadePSK wrote: ↑April 8th, 2021, 4:44 pmI`m looking for projects to PL not in the various sections of the forum, but here.

Howdie everybody!
There isn`t neither tilda at the beginning of the project`s title nor a name of a DPLer in the MW...
Would you like to tell me pls who`s a DPL here? Because it`s interesting and of a certain importance for prospective DPLs as me.
Thanx!
