What errors are you getting when you try to access the text?
Both links work fine for me. Could your internet provider be blocking them?

May I read chapter 2 part 3 (starting at The year drew on)? I see that it was still open, for a reader.

Hi I'll surely assign the sections to you but there's 2 things you need to do first since I think you're new. Firstly, you'll have to upload your one minute test recording. Once that is done, and someone's heard it and given it the thumbs up you can start recording these sections. The other thing is that you'll have to tell me what you want as your catalog.hmcculloch wrote: ↑September 23rd, 2020, 9:19 am May I read chapter 2 part 3 (starting at The year drew on)? Kindly do those if you haven't already
Thanks

To explain those two things a little more:
1) Here's a link to the one-minute test instructions: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test
It's not an audition, but a "sound check" to make sure your technical settings are all OK.
2) "The other thing is that you'll have to tell me what you want as your catalog." - How would you like to be credited in the catalog? There are places for a catalog name (some use a nickname or forum name, some their real name) and a link to a personal web site or blog, if you have one. I recommend using whatever name you say (if any) when you say, "recorded by [your name]" as that's how listeners will look for you. (Keep in mind that prospective employers, classmates, enemies, etc. can also find you using the catalog name, so be cautious if privacy might be an issue.)
