Section 21 (duration 6:07)

PL notes for the re-recorded section 21:

I really heard a difference in the way you read this section -- it sounded much better!

A couple of tiny things:

3:13 had til then til is missing changes the meaning entirely
4:59 there is a loud clack sound

you are just shy of 5 seconds at the end

Definitely don't re-record sections when you have to edit. It's way too time consuming for the checker.

You can insert new text by doing a copy and paste:

Highlight the space where it needs to go, then open a new Audacity window by using Control + N.
Record the new word(s), highlight them and copy (Control + C). Close that window.
Return to your original window, click on the top (in a neutral spot) and paste (Control + V). The new text will go into the space.

There are other ways to edit and these are detailed in the recording instructions for newcomers.

PL Notes for section 22:
Volume is again very low, this time at 83.3 and you'll need to get it to around 89-90 (86-92 is the range). Definitely get familiar with the Volume Checker (see instructions to recording).

Two things of note:
1:36 So marked was.... was is missing
3:25 ...the man's

Don't re-record.

To amplify your recording, just compress the entire text (see the + and - signs in Audacity window), highlight, then click on Effects at top, go to Amplify. I would experiment with a sample recording just to see how it works first.

Don't be discouraged by all this. It seems a lot at first, but you get used to it very quickly and then you'll be an ace. Even I learned it

PL notes on section 23:

Volume is at 82.2, so will need to be bumped up.
At :26 there is a loud clack.
Please shave off 1 second at the end.
