You need to replace the intro of your recording. You say...
Chapter number 9 of Hopalong Cassidy's Roundup, The Advent of McAllister. This is a LibriVox recording, all LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit LibriVox DOT org.
Then you launch straight into the chapter. You need to re-record the correct intro, then copy and paste it at the beginning of your recording, replacing the incorrect intro.
Thank you very much...
chapter 10 (15:43):

revised chapter 9 (24:34):

Chapter 9 is now PL OK! Great job!
Chapter 10 needs to be amplified, it is currently at 81 dB, so it needs to be amplified by 8 dB. But, you may need to check the background noise level when you amplify, because Checker was telling me that that was a little bit high as well.

Chapter 15 is yours, thank you!
I was right about chapter 10, it now needs to be noise cleaned. The background level is at 58 dB, which is pretty loud. Could you try to do a noise cleaning?

I'd like to claim section 14: The Tale of a Cigarette.
This will be my first recording, and my username is sdwilcox.
Thanks!

Welcome to LibriVox!
I have you down for chapter 14, thank you! Please make sure to do your one minute test first, just so that we can make sure your settings are where we need them to be, before you start recording. Here is your catalog page!

Were you able to do a noise cleaning? Because there is the same amount of background noise as before.
ETA: I just looked at your recording on Audacity. I don't see how the background noise can be so loud. I'm going to just call this one PL OK.

Hi Ann
Looks like #16 is the nearest to the top that's open, so if it's OK, I'll take it.
