Colleen,

Oh my goodness, how massively kind of you to take the time to help me out with all of that! I really, really appreciate it! I used my original mp3 (recorded and edited in Garageband only because that's just what I already had on my computer) and did all the things you suggested including downloading the Checker program (not sure how I missed that in all the orientation materials! But I definitely see it there now :? ). The Checker told me that the file passes inspection, so I hope this time I got it right!

The new file:

Please do let me know if any other changes need to be made. I'm a French speaker and big ol' francophile, and I have really enjoyed discovering this story :) so I'm excited to begin with Section 05 soon as well!

Thanks again,
Adam G.

Yup, it passes! Thanks for being so prompt on the turnaround. I'll mark it ready for prooflistening now. Check back on this thread as if the prooflistener has any changes or freeback they will post it here as well.

Hello,

This looks interesting, I know some of these places! May I do section 15 please?

I can't do a consistent or convincing American accent but my French pronunciation should do!

Don't worry about doing an accent, just read as yourself. It's much more important to be reading clearly and at a good pace than to have the accents.

And welcome!

Thanks! It's a lovely read, I'm really enjoying it and find myself reading on and on with it! As an expat in northern France myself, and familiar with many of the places she writes about, it's a delight, and rather like getting letters from a friend from 120 years ago. I'll see how I go with it and maybe I'll grab some of the other sections too. :)

Section 12

I'm so sorry this has taken me so long. I will try to get 13 done pronto.

A charming story!

I do hope the DPL will be somewhat forgiving of my very poor French, but I am not above correction. I want things to be nice.

Elijah, would you like help with this? That is, if Colleen doesn't mind.

I'll need my two sections PLed, though. I have one of them ready.

Yes, thank you! Section is assigned to you. Would you like to take 10 as well and do both halves of the chapter?

Colleen,
Have you heard from Elijah? Is he being removed from DPL?

Hi,

I had inboxed Elijah in mid June and they said they would be getting on it. I sent another message today.
