Section 17 PL notes:
Wonderful reading. The only issue is that the file has 3 seconds of silence at the end instead of 5 seconds of silence. Please edit and re-upload. Post in this thread with the new file length when you are ready for me to spot PL. Thanks!

PL OK: 3, 4, 38, 39
Hi I have uploaded the new recording of section 17 and it is 10:59. I'm sorry for any inconveniences. Here's the link

Thank you,
Shreya
good morning,

everyone has pl notes once in a while, there are no inconveniences involved with doing our hobby :-)

i have to ask back: did you record the whole section anew?
or did you edit the last seconds of silence of the recording, only?

in general: please, for an edit that is so easy to solve with copypasting don't record anew the whole text.
we have the status "ready for pl" and "ready for spot pl" because the workload (listening to the whole section again, or looking at the ending silence) can be a big difference for our dpl!
i set the status to "ready for pl", until i get your answer or cadastra listened to it :-)

thx for your answer!

cheers,

Section 5 Duration 05:48

https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/essaysonart_05_goethe_128kb.mp3

******NB***** I submitted this twice! After I submitted the first time, I went back to check the duration, and noticed I had some extraneous noise at the end. So I silenced that, remixed it (redoing only the 5-second silence at the end) and re-uploaded it. So if there is confusion, the SECOND version is the correct one. Mea Culpa...

Also a quick side note I forgot to mention, when I checked the audio it was showing passed but then a warning sign came so I'm not sure if it's okay or not?

our dpl cadastra will answer with your pl notes.
so, just to my experience:
checker offers the gentle validation mode and when you set checker to gentle, it accepts more mistakes, or gives warnings instead of fails.
we don't check tags, anymore - and to my opinion, the background noise metering is not 100% correct (it depends on the ending silence, eg).
but we do check for the volume, mono, and so on tech basics.
so, when you got a warning in checker, it depends on the mistake it metered...
given your settings, everything can happen from pl ok to not ok.
:)

hi shreya,

maybe you didn't see it:
did you record the whole section anew?
or did you add some seconds of silence, only?

please, we don't want to produce additional work for our dpl!

Greetings,

I was still awaiting feedback on my 1 minute test and unsure if I'm eligible to claim. However if so/when able & if still available I'm interested in the following:

Sections 44-50 "Upon Dilettantism" (Parts 1-7)

If not able to do entire "dilettantism" part of book I have a preference for:
Section 44 (Part 1)
Section 45 (Part 2)
Section 49 (Part 6)
Section 50 (Part 7)

I am a new reader and would prefer my name be in the catalog as my username is in all caps (EMILIAISEMMALEE) or all lowercase (emiliaisemmalee).

A link to my writing & content portfolio would be awesome: http://emiliaottoo.contently.com/

I'll await instruction or clarity, thank you.

:help:

hi emilia,

in a few days, it will be two months since your claims.
do you want to read these sections, still?

just to mention it:
- there is no problem to get two months more to upload
- you don't have to bulk-upload all the files at once
- you can give back any claims anytime - no questions asked!

please, post a short update in the tread!

sent per pm, also.

cheers,
