Thank you. I'll have to come up with a better way of explaining what I'm getting at.soupy wrote: ↑February 10th, 2020, 7:36 pm Whenever I want to do that I go to the end of the recording and press record and it begins a new track at the end of the recording, instead of at the beginning, and then I copy the new recorded material to the place I want it.
If that's what you asked.
Craig
I'll leave it open for now since you did. If you want to choose one of the personas than do so and I'll advertise for the other voice

I've bookmarked this, but haven't really looked at it closely, but I'm open to helping out either as reading part of dialog and/or editing; I've done quite a bit of both. So, let me dig into this a bit more and see what it looks like.

OK, very fascinating.
If you can sign me up for the prefaces, that would be great.
(You might want to combine these into the Section 0 so that the sections and and chapters match up)
I would like to read the Spirit in Chapter 5. If you or Kevin want to take the "I" and I'd be glad to edit the section and see how it goes.

CraigFair enough silverquill - I combined the two prefaces and assigned you section 0 and 5-9 You can read Spirit and KevinS has asked to read the other voice so he will read I. And you can proof each other's work and then you can edit it and put it on the project
Thanks Silverquill and KevinS - It should be great to listen to.

Actually, Craig, I think you will need to add more lines as I don't think Larry and I can post our recordings to the same line. Tell me if I'm wrong.

Did the numbering change? I recorded Section 18 (or at least I thought I did.)

Okay. Here is "I"s part for Chapter 5.
https://librivox.org/uploads/leni/I_Chaper_5.mp3
As it is only a temporary file, I've named it rather arbitrarily.
Included are 2 versions of the voice credit. I'll let you choose which you prefer. I have not read the intro or outro, thinking you would save that for yourself, Craig, but I could do it it you wish.
Also, I have read all the text down to the actually dialogue, though one could ask Larry to do that part which "I" quotes as being from "Spirit." Maybe that would sound best; I don't know.

The numbering did change - Kevin - silverquill wanted to read the first two sections together so I said OK. can you change it to 17?
Craig
You're too fast Kevin
5:37 I perceive that I really know no more ... you read I really know more - forgot to read no
8:00 but my hand, with which I touch the object - you read by my hand
I like The character I read by KevinS
Larry would have to introduce himself at the beginning too and he could read the part where I describes what the spirit said at the beginning.

I'm happy to correct to Section 17.
Also, we'll have to point out to Larry that he gets that quoted material at the opening.

We can post the readings to the project and then transfer the proofed and combined reading to the window.Actually, Craig, I think you will need to add more lines as I don't think Larry and I can post our recordings to the same line. Tell me if I'm wrong.
Does that sound OK?

That's certainly fine with me if that should work. Leni -
I've never done one like this before. I figure the dialogue can be put in the project then proofed and then united by Larry. It seems he said he would edited the two and put them together. then the united dialogue would go in the window - how is it usually done?
