heyho,
section 1 checker and pl ok! (the outro can be read short as "end of section 1", but you don't need to edit that. i mention it for the next section.)
section 3 checker and pl ok!
section 4: checker ok but i suggest 2 fast cuts:
1.) 5:34-5:35 you read: viz. videlizet, text says viz
i suggest a decision on what version you want to keep and cut the other both versions are ok for me
2.) 6:00-6:01 same case with i.e./that is
(while, as english is a foreign laguage for me, i really thought super, thank you for that! i didn't even know that you can read "i.e." as "that is"! it is a little repetition and we have the rule "never omit or change what the author wrote". im not sure, if this is void for additions, too, but we don't allow the reades to comment the texts, so..well, we have no english speaking dpl, yet, and i don't know if this is some english librivox habit. either way, you are free to choose, which one you cut: both versions are ok for me!)
thank you both!
best wishes from tyrol

Personally, I read i.e. as "that is", e.g. as "for example", and "viz." as either "namely" or "that is" or "viz" depending on my mood.
We do have a rule not to change the text, but this is a bit different. I suppose if we wanted to be absolutely strict on that, we'd make people just read the letters.

School fiction: David Blaize
America Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart

I wasn't sure so I included both in the recording. I figured it's easier to delete rather than recording an insert.schrm wrote: ↑March 1st, 2020, 6:32 amthx for your input, tricia!TriciaG wrote: ↑March 1st, 2020, 6:25 am Personally, I read i.e. as "that is", e.g. as "for example", and "viz." as either "namely" or "that is" or "viz" depending on my mood.

Here is the revised version with "i.e." and "viz" read only:

woow you are fast
to be honest, i hoped so!
a fast cut is really easier than to add something..
in german, i didnt think of that before..but once, i read a strange sign as the abbreviated words. i looked that up in google.
and we do say the email-@ as "at", and read our eg as for example.
but i wouldn't have any problem to read the abbreviation, only, i think.
checker and spot pl 04 are ok!

I wasn't worried about the PL lapse on this - you're fine! LibriVox work is nice to have when everything's shut down in the world, eh?!
