Hopefully I did this right! Sorry it took so long -- I got sick! This is my first upload, I ran it through "checker" but... I feel over my head technically! Let me know if it isn't right.

Julie,
Great job! I'm sorry you were sick but your certainly back in nice form. :D

4:23 - stumble - He added. If you use Audacity use the magnifying glass to zoom in. You should be able to delete. Let me know if you have questions.

Please trim the ending silence to 5 seconds.

Please remember to post the file length when you post files for PL.

The time on this file is shorter than I expected. Did you record the whole thing again?

Hi,
I'm still able to read chapter 1,3, 52, 53. I will record and edit them this week. Starting today to get them done.

Thank you,
Lola

I PLed the full section again, just in case it was a new recording.

PL OK.

Hi Linny, sorry for any confusion with section 24. I re-recorded the section after the volume feedback and then just adjusted the silences on the second recording. hope that was okay?

That’s perfect. We prefer you just make the corrections instead of recording again. It’s faster to spot check and it gives you more time to record other things.

Welcome to LibriVox!
Have you recorded before? This is a long section for an initial recording. We generally recommend that you begin in short works.

Before you record for any project please conduct your preliminary test. https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Newbie_Guide_to_Recording#Preliminary_Test

This will ensure your settings are correct for LibriVox. It's much easier to fix things with such a short test than to risk having a longer section needing to be recorded again. We really do want you to enjoy your time here and not to become frustrated.

Once you have passed your preliminary test I hope you'll check back in to claim a section.

No, I have not. Is there a shorter story you would suggest?

Check out the projects in “short works”. These are especially helpful until you are comfortable with the editing process.

You’ll still need to complete the preliminary test first.
