I can PL until Lomond shows up again. I wouldn't want to step on his toes.

Confused - you are advertising for a DPL yet you have Kevin above and Lomond (who I thought was away as I am DPL'ing some of his other stuff he resigned from).

Let me know if you need a DPL or not :)

For Chapters 6 and 9, I am instructed to read the footnotes at the end of the chapters. In Chapter 6, Footnote 7 translates the meaning of the word "Kooletchika" which shows up at the end of the first paragraph. But just reading footnote 7, which translates but does not repeat the word "Kooletchika," at the end of the chapter probably will not be very enlightening to the listener. The more helpful thing would to record the translation where the word occurs. "Kooletchika, which means dangerous channel." ???

Shasta, I'm not sure if the BC is checking this thread very often. Then again, perhaps he has not answered my question because there are no chapters to PL.

As for your comment, I agree with you. I'm in no position to approve anything, but you certainly make sense.

Here are chapters 5, 6 and 9.

Please read my comment, above, about Footnote 7 in Chapter 6. I have made that very slight change which I believe will be better for a listener. However, if you want me to simply record the footnote at the end of the chapter, I can edit the recording and re-submit it.

I have messaged Phil and the MC and heard back from no one yet.

Not quite sure what is going on.

They are still advertising for a DPL.

Lynda, shall we share the listening? I really don't think anyone will mind. You pick one or two and I will do the other(s.) I think we'll be doing them a favor.

Thank you, Lynda. I'll PL Chapter 9 today, I hope, and will do the next chapter to come in, unless it's mine. I'm tempted to record another one.

Hi, Lucas.

Both Lynda and I have asked if you need PL help. If Lynda is still available, I know she'll do a great job. (I will still go ahead and PL Shasta's Chapter 9.)

Hi there -

I am fine being DPL with the following caveat - I am leaving on a cruise vacation on Sunday and will have limited access on the ship while at sea for the 5 days to get to Hawaii (and return). As long as I can download the files I am happy to DPL.

I will let you know if I have any issues with the downloading.
