1:35 - Misread "transferred" as "transformed"

I have completed the proof listening for your section (Section 1), but there are so many stumbles and misreads that I'm not sure if it's feasible to make corrections. I'm not sure why the misreads are happening. Please make sure that you are reading only from the source text which is linked at the top of the thread, as there may be other versions out there with typos. You read quite fast, which could also be the reason for so many misreads and stumbles, and it may help to just slow down a little bit when recording, and not rush through the section.

It sounded like what you recorded was perhaps your very first read-through of the material. Just speaking for myself, I find that it helps to read over the chapter a couple of times before beginning to record, just to gain some familiarity with the text. Additionally, it's always a good idea to do an informal proof listening before uploading the recording. Just by listening to what you recorded and following along with the text, you may have caught many of the misreads on your own.

I did notice that most of the mistakes occur during the final third of the recording (from 9:26 to the end), and that towards the end of the recording you had begun to read faster, and you sounded a bit out of breath. You might consider correcting just the two errors at 4:40 and 5:30, and then re-recording the last part of the chapter, from 9:08 to the end.

Elsie, this is much better than before. I'm approving all of the corrections, with the exception of one. At 5:35, you are still mispronouncing the word "dyspepsia." Also, I'd never recommend re-recording only a single word in the middle of a sentence. That always makes the correction very noticeable, since it's never going to match the sound of the words around it. Please go back and re-record the whole sentence:

"His health was very feeble: he was suffering from dyspepsia."

And here is a link with the audio of the correct pronunciation, which should sound something like [dis-PEP-shuh]. You can click on the little speaker icon to play the audio.
