OK, I'll put you in. :)

How would you like to be credited in the catalog? There are places for a catalog name (some use a nickname or forum name, some their real name) and a link to a personal web site or blog, if you have one. I recommend using whatever name you say (if any) when you say, "recorded by [your name]" as that's how listeners will look for you. (Keep in mind that prospective employers, classmates, enemies, etc. can also find you using the catalog name, so be cautious if privacy might be an issue.)

And be sure to do the 1-minute test first, to make sure your settings are all okay. :)

Please: I would like to claim Section 59 Case Studies, Chapter 12, Part 1.
I expect that I will try to claim all of Chapter 12, but I don't want to co-opt other readers from taking the other sections nor do I want to bog down the whole project by claiming too many sections and then deliver them serially over too long a time. So, I'll ask for the sections one-by-one and deliver them within two days time each.

Thanks! Claims added.

William - you're welcome to claim more than one at a time, as long as you submit them in a timely manner, which you plan on doing. But if you choose not to, I understand your reasoning. :)

Apropos of this project's topic, is this article on "The Radium Girls"
https://www.science101.com/radium-girls-americas-darkest-secret-lost-history
During World War I, hundreds of women went to work in factories painting watch dials using paint made from radium. The light that gleamed from under their skin earned them the name “The Radium Girls.

Although they were told handling the element was safe, it was only after they experienced horrific symptoms they realized they had been misinformed. If their story isn’t ringing a bell, then you’ve been successfully kept in the dark.
If anyone in this project comes across a mention of these Radium Girls in the source text, please drop me a note.
TIA

There are several mentions of the radium dial painters. Bottom of pdf page 233 is a good example. You can do a search in the PDF for "radium dial" to pull up many of the references.

Thank you. Credit to my user name is fine. I’ll post my test soon to check my settings. Also, I don't see it referenced in any of the project notes: Do you want the footnotes read? If so, where would you like it in the recording?
