Hello guys! Thank you to everyone who picked up the slack in the PLing while I was away. Reality requires that i stay away from being DPL for a while and stick to just my BC stuff. Thanks again to everyone who is helping out!!

 all perfect cuts and additions, Ian. Excellently done. Spot editing holds no secrets from you ;) I can mark these three sections PL ok. Thank you so much, and I hope I hear you in another project one day soon.

Only be careful with the volume. You are really at the lower accepted limit here, barely a bit over 86 dB. 3 dB more would be in the perfect middle. But nothing to change for now, only something to think about considering in your future recordings. In my previous post I gave you the link to download Checker, it's a very handy tool for assessing the volume.

I've orphaned 25 and 26 as the reader has not been online since March
Boomcoach would like both parts of the story read by the same reader, so any takers?
They are both about 30-40 minutes reading

Volume low at 84.9 dB. It looks like you can't amplify far enough due to spikes in the recording. So I suggest this:
- Highlight entire recording
- Go to Effect/Compressor. Use these settings:
Threshold: -20 dB
Noise Floor: -40 dB
Ratio: 2.5:1
Attack: 0.1
Decay: 1.0
NO checks in the check boxes

After compression, amplify by 6.5 dB.

While you're in there:

38:55 - "and how the creature slid over the sheer rock like a snake" - a hesitation and repeat in here that should be pretty easy to cut out.
51:38 - "The sunlit stain on the cliff" - stumble & repeat

Minor thing: about 7 seconds of silence at the end. Could you cut this down to 5? I wouldn't mention it if everything else were OK, but since you're in the file anyway...

The reader above me hasn't been online since posting, so I'll do the last two to wrap this up. Thanks! :D

Availle, I just wanted to check if you were still recording Seaton's Aunt? If so, no worries but if not and you're tied up with other things I'd be happy to take it on. Please let me know.

I would love to say "I can handle this..." but actually... it's not going to happen any time soon.

Have fun with this story! I've entered you into the MW.

I could try editing section 5, if you like. Obviously I can't correct mispronunciations, but the standard PL stuff should be pretty easy to fix.
