Chapter 27 was well read with no problems. The silent period at the end was close to ten seconds instead of 4-5 seconds. Not sure if that is a problem. I will mark it as PL OK.

Usually the BC can download the file as an Audacity file and edit it, so it should be easy for me, but I never figured it out....
Hmm. Does Phil have a video on how to do it? I'll check. If not, no worries- I'll figure it out
How to download a file, edit it and upload it again? I can make one tonight if you want.

Phil,
If it's not too much to ask, that'd be great! Yes, I just need a video showing me how to download someone else's file (or even my own, if needed), edit it in Audacity and then reupload it again.
Thanks so much!

I can write you the instructions if you wish - I have time now....

It is not that hard if you know how to edit in Audacity already.

I work on a PC, and another volunteer kindly sent me the full step-by-step instructions to doing it at my request...but unfortunately I could not figure it out. I think my problem is that I need to visually see someone do it.
What I'm doing is right-clicking the link>Save Target As> I pick a folder to save it in. Then I open up Audacity, minimize it so it's smaller but still on screen, and open up the folder the link is saved in. Both windows are on screen. Then I try to drag the link over from the folder and drop it in Audacity...but as soon as I click the link to drop it in, the Audacity window disappears. I can't easily have both windows open.
That's what I've been doing, and that's probably what I'm doing wrong...just can't figure it out.
Lmnei, thanks for the offer, but I think I need to visually see someone do it
Best,
JayKitty

Here it is https://youtu.be/NunlVBwRZ9c How to download, edit a bit and upload a file from the magic window. :D
EDIT: as always, if this is not what you wanted or is murky and unclear please ask for clarification. As you can see, it is easy to make videos.

JayKitty - with reference what you sent me about getting the file into Audacity (which in the message above I would NEVER teach someone for the reason you mentioned) and how Phil does it (which is the fastest) you can also open Audacity and then go to File on the menu and select Open and then browse to where you saved the downloaded file and select Open. That is how I do it as I do not have Audacity linked to automatically open mp3 files like Phil does. :D

Phil,
Thanks a lot for the video! I'm pretty sure I don't have the automatically downloaded files set to open as AUP files (phew! That was a mouthful  ) but I will try your method and Lynda's.
Thanks so much for making the video, that was clear reference for me :D And thanks for shortening the other file, too

I posted on Jan 12 that chapter 7 is done. I haven't seen an acknowledgement so I want to be sure someone's seen it.

Here's the link.

Hi Mark,
My apologies - I missed your post. After a bit of digging, I found the original- would you still like any other chapters? Chapter 28 and 34-39 are still open.
Thanks for uploading!
