Hmmm, I will wait for Lynne's advice regarding the disclaimer.
And yes, I did read wheel as whizzle, so I will make that change.
Regarding the DPL bit, I don't think many readers are OK with having to wait two weeks. But I am, so you can PL my future claims; which will be section 3. :D
Thanks!

As far as the disclaimer is concerned, although this is the "accepted" disclaimer, the important things to have at the beginning of a chapter or section are:

1. The title of the work (e.g. book)
2. The author
3. The section number, chapter number or title -- exactly which is up to the BC, but should be made clear in the first post. After that, if he/she is prepared for deviations or requires consistency, that is his/her choice
4. "This is a Librivox recording. All Librivox recordings are in the Public Domain"

Anything else is open to tweeking.

hello bhavya,

sorry for answering that late.
normally, i try to say some possible pl-date, after seeing an upload to pl it..

i wanted to pl your file, but realized, that there is extreme background noise in the recording.
because of that, i checker-checked the file and that is the technical analysis output:
- The volume falls outside of the target range (86–92 dB).  Help
- It is best to remove any DC bias before you begin editing.  Help
- The audio appears to contain some clipping. You may be speaking too closely to the microphone or amplifying the sound too much.  Help
- The audio has a high level of background noise which should be cleaned. (Alternatively, you may have forgotten to leave several seconds of silence at the end of the recording.)  Help

bunkersatbells_03_128kb.mp3 (...)

Volume
107.1 dB
DC Bias
+563 (+1.7166%)
Clipped Audio
0 ms (0.01%)
Background Noise
70.6 dB

also, when looking at your file in audacity, it looks like a blue field instead of a soundwave.
that said, i tried to listen to your file, but i failed.
maybe you used, accidentally, some microphone built into your computer?
to avoid this, i always start audacity with the microphone already plugged in and check the soundwaves of my recordings, if it uses the right one.

im sort of shocked, but i have to say: i have doubts, that you can edit a file with that sort of extreme problems.
so, please forgive me, but something went wrong with that file...
cheers

Hello schrm,
I gave a listen to it, and I was pretty traumatised my that recording. There must have been a problem when converting it into mp3, for it sounded OK in Audacity. I will reupload soon.

Thanks :)
