Hi Dave,
I'm in central Florida so we typically only get a hurricane every few years. Our community took a hit last year with Irma but this year has been clear. It seems to be a benefit of being so far inland.

Chapter 2 PL note:
0:18 missing intro text – Discourses on the First Decade of Titus Livius, Book 1, by Niccolò Machiavelli. Translated by Ninian Hill Thomson. Chapter 2, Of the various kinds of Government; and to which of them the Roman Commonwealth belonged.

Nice work!
Thanks much for the extra PLing, linny!

Hi Leni.

Could I do the PLing on chapters XVI and XXII? So far I just PLed texts in Spanish, but I'm eager to do it also in English and other languages.
Besides, as I quite like Macchiavelli's works, it would be a pleasure.

Hi Linny,
Good catch! I see what I did wrong. Decided to skip my name, but then also skipped what followed. I'll fix Ch 2 and resend.
Regards,
Dave

Hi Leni.

Here are the PLing for chapters XVI, XXII and XXIII.
Sorry for taking the PL for Chapter XXIII without warning, but as I saw it was ready for PLing, I did it. And I could see that Donavan was able to manage the sound much better, for it was, before, low and muffled. :)

Discourses on The First Decade of Titus Livius – Book 1 – Niccolò Machiavelli

Chapter XVI – Perfect – Flawless

Chapter XXII – Sound low and muffled
0:30 – read: What is best to be noted – the word “best” isn’t in the text at Project Gutenberg
Written: What is to be noted

Chapter XXIII – OK
Sound much much better than in the previous chapter (XXII)

Once my recording of Chapter 11 has been PL'ed, I'd like to volunteer for Chapter 12.

Thanks for the recording, merendo! I have already added your claim, no need to wait for the PLing. :)

Hey, Rachel! Thanks much for the PLing, feel free to PL as many as you want

As to the notes on Chapter XXII, there is no need to follow along with the text (of course you can if you want to!), but in standard PLing, we only look for major changes in the text. That one is quite small, so Dave can choose if he wishes to fix it or not.

As to the sound being low, Dave, maybe you can amplify and noiseclean a bit? Thanks!
Leni
