Hello,
I've finished section 3 but I may need another month or so to finish section 4 if that's okay with you.
Exams just started and they take up a whole month

Here's section 3 (21:13)
https://librivox.org/uploads/availle/historyofuniversevol6_03_wheeler_128kb.mp3

Also, this file has quite a low volume at 85.6 dB but audacity wouldn't let me amplify more than that. I wasn't sure if I was to use another program for amplification or record it over again to fix this.

Thanks!

Needs 5s of silence at file end.
Volume is low. Use Effect/Compressor to remove the peaks in the audio waveform so that you can amplify the file up to at least 86dB (recommended is 89dB). Watch the video below.

Probably not because of the editor's date of death. :(

Hello, there! May I take a whack at sections 5 and 6? I'm a biologist, and I live in the USA.

I'm happy to go by SpectralChicken.

As a newb, I'm not sure how to handle captions to illustrations in the text. Do I read them after the current paragraph the illustration is in?

Since captions are not part of the text proper, just ignore them.
Cheers, Ava.

Hello Sienna, I have had technical difficulties with my recording set up that I really need to iron out. (I made a recording, but my mic keeps fading out. I can jump start the mic, but then I have to fix the blank spot, and it gets messy.) Can I release my section 6 assignment? I'd like to keep working on section 5.
