Regarding section, I am willing to take on any part you suggest. I am here to help.
In that case, I have assigned you section 24, which should run to 8-10 minutes long. In general, we don't tell readers what to read, so it will be up to you to choose a section 8-)
Help us finish:

Mary Anerley 30+ sections remaining
Passages from the Life of a Philosopher by Charles Babbage 2 sections remaining

Sounds good. I'll start with Chapter 24, then let you know which I'd like to work on next. Thanks.
My screen name is from one of the stories read to my children quite often, "Too Many Daves" by Dr. Seuss. My kids are grown, so now I read to everyone and no one.

I have uploaded the file for chapter 24, https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/starchamber1_24_ainsworth_128kb.mp3, length 06:01.
I've read through a few of the early chapters and wouldn't mind tackling one of those, like chapter 2, if you are agreeable.

I'll sign you up.
Just one thing, though. We need to know the length of the file as part of the validation process (in mm:ss)

Thank you for the reminder. I have edited the previous post to include the time.

Chapter 2 has been uploaded, https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/starchamber1_02_ainsworth_128kb.mp3, length 14:03.

I can take Chapter 3, but I likely won't record it for a few days.

Chapter 3 uploaded, https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/starchamber1_03_ainsworth_128kb.mp3, length 12:24.

I need to read a little more of the book before picking another chapter. I'm enjoying this, thanks!

I was able to read the next few chapters since last night. I would like to continue with the next chapter, #4. I suspect I'll just carry on with 5 and 6, as well. I'm enjoying the book, which makes this easy.

I'll assign all 3. No pressure... you can opt out later; and you get 2 months before I start nagging

None of my work has been proofed, but I'm willing to continue if that's ok with you. I think I've read through chapter 10 or 11 and I'm willing to continue recording, but I'm going to bed right now :) .
