Section 08 - https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/amberwitch_08_meinhold_128kb.mp3 (13:55)

Let me know how the levels/volume is on this one. I tried to guess what would be a good approximation, but Reaper uses a VST dB scale, as opposed to what Audacity uses, so if it needs to be louder or quieter, that's not hard to do at all.

I'm gonna start on the scripts and recording for the other sections, now that I finally have some time.
Everything is hard before it is easy; every first draft is terrible, so that the final draft can be great.

sect 8

PL note: At the start of recording (Intro)
Recording by (your name)...should be moved as follows:
Section [number] of Mary Schweidler, the Amber Witch. This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org" If you wish, say: "Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
00:28-00:35
Tech issues:
1-The bit rate should be 128 kbps.
2-The recording should use a constant bit rate rather than variable bit rate (VBR).
BIT RATE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l54FyB3wLpA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3vfXOVn9Ek&feature=youtu.be

(81.6 db)This low volume falls outside of the target range (86–92 dB).

06:46 beg and pray her (missing) and to lament till she went
09:47 any such book for (repeated word)(for say, who can read all that fools write?),

Hello Christopher,
Your reading is excellent, you have a nice clear voice.
Once you get the tech "kinks" out and a little editing, you'll be good to go.

Hello, new to Librivox, (just got the OK on my test recording), I'd like to claim section 2 (The Seventh Chapter). The Latin section would certainly include my American accent, is that acceptable?

First recording; I'd like to appear as "Sissyneck" in the catalogue.

Thanks,
Sissyneck

Welcome to Librivox!
I will add you to the catalog and assign that chapter.
An American accent is fine! Our rule on accents is that a native speaker should be able to understand you. I’m not sure there are many native Latin speakers listening to LV
