I'm preparing to record my other two sections tomorrow.
Could I add Sections 49 and 50?

I've assigned 49 and 50 to you. Thank you. Please check the MW, which shows you have 4, not 2 other sections. Is this an error?

PL section 17:

3:13 Text: tied
Said: tried

This line by Ms. Stowe should be written in each and every one of these sections, for the sheer truth of the matter.
"It requires no ordinary nerve to read over the counts of this indictment."

INDEED!

This is a chapter describing the absolute desecration of a corpse ... and humanity.

The story must be told and you, Michele, do so with a levelness slightly touched with outrage, allowing focus on the feeling of horror which grows over anyone with the barest sense of compassion.

Will be looking for more of your sections to PL; please let me know if I have missed any already presented.

I hear tied so didn't find anything to change.

Section 15 should arrive today. Thanks for PL'ing.

PL for section 15 is Okay! :)

Certainly, not to argue with you, but out of my own curiousity as to why I misheard the word, I re-listened to the part in Section 17.
There are two incidents of "tied." At 3:05 you did say "tied." At 3:13 you spoke "tried."

I seriously doubt that a casual listener would *ever* catch it, so if you do not wish to change it, I'll not fault you. *Smile*
(Still, I want to assure you that I'm *Listening* to your wonderful renditions.
And looking forward to the next!)

I still hear "that whilst so tied" at 3:13, not tried. I'd change it if I could, just because you are a dream of a diligent PL'er, but I don't hear it. So I'm going to mark it PL OK and move on to 14, which looks like it's gonna be good -- people such as Thomas Jefferson, no less, stepping up publicly to defend her book and agree with her portrayals therein. Yaay!

PL Notes Section 40

Oops, thought I had posted this long ago.

:28 needs to say Chapter 8, not 3.8. Thanks. Should be a simple delete.

Indeed, Ma'm. I do recall that, and would have sworn I did so ... remembering being inordinately pleased with myself for having remembered to correct the outro, too.
However, obviously, I did not or it did not post, or ... well! Something!
Regardless. Thank you for reminding me; it is now here, corrected.

re Section 40

Intro and Outro: should say "Part 4, Chapter 8" (you say Part 40)
:27 should say "Chapter 8" (you say 3.8)

37 and 38 are PL OK. You do those southern accents well, Mr. Bill, especially for a Yankee! Stowe talks a lot about the Edmondson family in her Life and Letters and the part her minister brother Henry Ward Beecher played in raising the money to purchase their freedom, but this chapter gives even more detailed information. Thank you for taking on these long sections.
