44 is PL OK. Thanks Jim. Amazing to learn that the American Church mostly thought the bible not only condoned slavery, but approved of it, and considered the problem strictly political and thus outside of their jurisdiction!

Section 51 is PL OK. Thanks, Larry. An interesting chapter on the punishments the apostles had to endure, and had no vote whatsoever in the government of their day -- much like the slaves in America.

Section 8 is PL Ok.

This is a nice smooth delivery of another passage filled with ghastly imagery of casual, common brutality.

I'm so well pleased that your wonderful project is near to completion; the world needs to hear and remember this detailed book. And so they shall!

Indeed... will politics and religion ever reconcile? Thanks. :)

I'll need a longer time slot to get Section 50 done, but I'll do my best.

What a very strange court writeup, as aforesaid, and aforesaid, and aforesaid. . . . .ahem!

Here are the few things I noticed:

5:40 upon their oaths present, that Eliza Rowand. . . present should be pronounced as the verb that means "give evidence" or "suggest" (pree-zent'), rather than an adjective meaning "here" (prez'-ent). Same spelling, different words. That's English for you!
6:37 this phrase is scrambled up: "in and upon the head of her ...the said Maria, then and there giving to her the said Maria, by such striking and beating, as aforesaid, with the piece of wood aforesaid, .... divers mortal bruises"
21:08 Dr Peter Porcher, I hear Parker Porcher, wouldn't mention it but he is Peter further down.
22:31 Subordination is indispensible, I hear insubordination. Probably can just cut out the "in".

Thanks, Kathrine :)
