OK. If you change your mind, you can always post in Listeners Wanted to advertise for a DPL. This post viewtopic.php?p=318668#p318668 has the instructions.

Foon:

Section 1 is Nicely done and PL-OK!

Section 2: There is a technical issue. Your amplification is too loud. The checker brought it in at 92.3dB (the acceptable range here at Librivox is between 86.5 and 92. Its a simple correction...Just use the amplification effect in Audacity and reduce it by 3 dB (you have to highlight the entire voice track first).

One other issue in Section 2...there are a number of long pauses. Anything over about 1.5 sections in a reading of this nature begins to make the listener uncomfortable. These pauses occur at :18, :34, 1:07, 1:21, 1:47, 2:00, 2:33, 3:05, 3:15, 3:30, 3:54, 4:20, 4:48, 5:07, 5:26, 5;42, 6:18, 6:37, 6:50.

You have a very musical reading voice and it is a joy to hear. I look forward to listening to your other completed sections shortly.

Many thanks,

Philip

Thanks for your kind words!
I'm kind of surprised that it was too loud haha, so far it's only fallen up short. I'll get on that (and the overlong pauses) soon and get a new version to you

I hope it isn't too loud in some of the "emotional" parts lol. And also is there too much mouth noise in the beginning? Let me know and i'll fix or re-do whatever I need to! Thanks :)
