dear Lynnet and Moniaqua,
thank you for your kind words. No, I have not studied Italian, but I sang and conducted opera for many years. Also my wife has been a teacher of Italian for 50 years. I guess there is something to say for osmosis. by the way i am sorry that this response is so long in the coming, but, usually i get email notifications of posts occurring in followed forums. this time i don't think that i received one. oh well, no matter.

at any rate, i have reduced the pause as you have suggested, and tightened up a few other gaps as well.

the duration is now 22:28

the file link is

have a wonderful day,
wilkie

ps, i have been lobbying my wife to start recording and or proofing italian works. fingers crossed.

Have you seen we have two Italian projects on the go at the moment? One since February 2015, the other since November 2016... and they are both looking for proof listeners 8-)

Section 16, travelling to Norway :)

You got the "stimmung" in "Morgenstimmung" pretty close, Lynda

The Solveig was good, to, there was only one that differed from the rest:

3:20: I hear solve-jig, later on in 3:56 and the following ones are fine

1:41: I hear dolor -- oso.
2:31: I hear authorative - isn't it authoritative?
2:46: I hear fan -- tastic.
3:30: I hear a stumble over divers - you say it flawlessly later on.
4:50: I hear Baudonian, must be Bedouin, you say this word like it is written later on.

@Kathleen, I'll try to listen to the files as soon as possible; I do have kind of a backlog here

I finally listened to chapter 36  (maybe you better ask if it takes too long?) and could only find a tragedy in what was written, not in the reading  The story is really dramatic
The section is PL OK

Section 4 is also PL OK; I didn't know that Berlioz knew Paganini :)

it didnt take too long, monika, since i saw your hard work here :-)
that's the deal..
thank you for your rather nice pl
and yes, it was no may mayhem and no tragedy..
but im not really...well..happy? with my english after hearing it..
:D
but the story itself, also the description of the music..i enjoyed it absolutely!
(on the other hand, murder, cannibalism, hounds and ...love like that?...i honestly dont like the story told :hmm:   )

at least, that is my very first (but already not the last) contribution in english.
thank you both, lynnet and monika, for giving me the chance!
cheers

Hi Moniaqua - I think you meant Section 17, not 16. It puzzled me for a while as Section 16 was marked PL OK, tonight I finally figured it out!

Here is the recording back - I hope I got all the little pieces fixed. I do have a new mic as my other one was doing nasty things like deciding to stop recording on a random basis so some of the inserted words do not sound exactly smooth like I would prefer, however they are okay.
