Sect 3 The Princess Wins
PL Notes:

I hear an undefinable sound through out the recording; I've listed a few times to see if you can identify it and prevent it in the future.
4:44, 7:14, 8:47, 9:11, 9:32, 12:28, 16:10, 20:16, 25:33, 27:24, 36:14, 36:22

It would be great if noise reduction works to lessen it, if not, we let it go.

Thanks for the PL notes! I've got a cold right now, but will adjust them as soon as it's gone!

ps - I used a gaming headset mic for section 3, and a standing mic for section 4. The gaming headset is coming off as ultra-sensitive (picking up my breathing, swallowing, etc), which I tried to avoid/edit out. If I can't reduce the noise, I'm happy to re-record it with the standing mic if someone is willing to PL again. Rather than let it go through with noise in the background.

This is my first go at all this, so I'm trying to figure out what works and what doesn't. I think the headset mic is on the 'doesn't' list, especially after going through section 4 with my new standing mic. I don't mind re-recording if that makes more sense.

thanks!

I dont think you need to rerecord. The noisecleaning function in audacity is really good, i think you can get a good result :) it is always a learning curve starting recording, getting the sound right and being happy with the way you speak. You will get there if you keep trying :) please let us know if you need any help!

Hi! I see what the issue is now with section 03, so I'm going to clean it up with the 'tips and tricks'.

When I re-post, do I rev up the file name, or overwrite the previous file?

Thanks!

Thank you! Keep the right file name, the system renames the previous file :) thank you!

Hi! So I had cleaned it up and amplified it, but the amplification process added amplification to background sounds that weren't filtered. So I've cleaned both section 3 and 4 up (doing the noise cleaning after the amplification this time). Thanks for pointing out the times in section 03, when I went back knowing what I was looking for, I found a few others as well - so have cleaned those up too. I also removed the stumble in section 04. If there is anything else, please let me know :).

Thanks!
