Tommy:

There is no need to be concerned. I have seen your uploads. Silverquill is sporadically here at the moment, as am I. I will try to get them PL-d today or tomorrow.

Many thanks for your patience.

Okay, I did miss these, and I was out of town for a few days.

I am the book coordinator (BC), but the files always go to the meta coordinator, and is they who appear in the drop down menu in the uploader. You always find this information near the end of the first post below the uploader link. Here is what you should see:

You'll need to select the MC, which for this project is: dlolso21

So, please upload these again to Dave's folder, not Tricia's, and repost the file name and length here again.
I'll put it in the MW and Phillip will give you the PL report.

Tommy, Larry & Phil;

I found the files in Tricia's folder and downloaded them. I have transferred only the latest version to my dlolso21 folder; the others are backed up to my personal computer. I have also updated the MW.

The current links and run times are:

OK. No rush. I was just a little concerned that I had put them in the wrong place. Thanks for getting back to me.

Tom:

Sections 1 & 2 were very well read. But there are a few corrections:

Section 1:

The file is too loud. The Checker brought it in at 93.4 dB. The acceptable range here at Librivox is 86-92 with a preference for as close to 89 dB as you can get. (In audacity, this is a simple fix. Highlight the voice pattern in the file (click it and press ctrl A--this will select it all) Go to the effect menu in Audacity, Click Amplify...a box will come up. Inside the box is an area which asks for the amount of Amplification--type in -4.4). Re export the file to mp3--and re upload to librivox.

At 0:18 the phrase Chapter 1 is omitted at 0:18.
At 2:51 is heard "Feather of waters" I expected "Father of Waters"

Section 2:

Is also too loud (93.4 dB). Follow the same steps as in the notes for section 1. Also there is a lengthy pause at 9:13 which should be shortened.

Easy fixes for small issues.

Many thanks,

Philip

Here are Chapters 1 and 2 again. I didn't add "Chapter 1" again because I couldn't get my voice to do the same sound without it sounding added. "Chapter 1" is mentioned earlier in my introduction, and the instructions indicate the chapter should be mentioned at the beginning. I hope this is OK.

That's our longest section, I think, so thanks for taking this.

Tommy:

With respect to Section 1--I had a few extra minutes this evening, so I copied and pasted your existing "Chapter 1" into the file where it had been omitted. So Section 1 is now PL-Ok.

Section 2--the corrections were made seamlessly. It is now PL-OK.

I enjoyed listening to your reading.

Many thanks,

Philip
