Oh, yes! I vividly remember the impression Ervin made on me, when I was about 14 years old, watching the Watergate hearings on TV with my dad. "Senator Sam" was formidable! He came across as smart, decent, stern, erudite, folksy, and witty. I haven't forgotten him.

Thank you! 13-15 are yours. Stay safe today! (I assume you're getting nasty weather, too. I know that the Niagara peninsula is getting hit, and I saw all the church cancellations in the BUF area on TV last night.)

We dodged a bullet here. Only about a quarter-inch of ice in the Rochester area, enough to make for some slick roads, but not enough to cause falling trees and power outages. Our church didn't cancel, though turnout was on the low side, as many older parishioners stayed home rather than risk falling. By afternoon, the ice has mostly melted. I hope your side of the lake is OK!

Will do, Yarnbender! How would you like to be credited in the catalog? There are places for a catalog name (some use a nickname or forum name, some their real name) and a link to a personal web site or blog, if you have one. I recommend using whatever name you say (if any) when you say, "recorded by [your name]" as that's how listeners will look for you. (Keep in mind that prospective employers, classmates, enemies, etc. can also find you using the catalog name, so be cautious if privacy might be an issue.)

I was one of those kids who watched the hearings. I was nine when the good senator held court. The hearings were fascinating and they began a lifelong love, and eventual decades long career, of politics/ public service.

Take care,

Greg

If I may, I would like to claim sections 23, 24, and 25. Apparently I have a morbid fascination with Watergate (who knew?).
