Section 48 is reuploading now. This one was the softest when I recorded it, so I gave it the most amplification, but it should be on spec now I think. No other changes to the file.

Linny,

I had hoped to record Section 39 - Verdi's 'La Traviata' this week, but have been thwarted by the guys rebuilding my neighbour's garage roof. I'm defeated by power tools and industrial blow torches, though it makes me realise how quiet the neighbourhood normally is.

I should be able to catch up next week.

Meanwhile, I'm off for a long weekend in Duesseldorf, Germany, and have tickets for Mozart's 'The Magic Flute' which, ironically, is one of the few great operas without a place in Ms Davidson's estimable book!

Tom,
Thank you for checking in.

We have all had to endure these moments, along with barking dogs, lawn-care, honking horns.....

Have a great trip and make lots of memories.

Here's section 10 (13:16).:

I'd also like to claim section 8, Lucrezia Borgia, and make a clean sweep of Donizetti (I may take a few weeks to submit it, as, apropos of the above comments, our bathroom is getting remodeled and finding a quiet moment around here is not easy!).

Wonderful job on section 10. PL OK. I have you in for section 8. Thank you for the additional claim. :D

It's challenging to focus on what comes after the contractors are gone but I'm sure it will be well worth it. I need to do the same and I keep putting it off. Over the last couple of years we have had a roof and windows done. All outside work and that was disturbing enough. I dread having the craziness inside. Good luck!
