I appreciate all the feedback and I will take of the editing suggestions to heart as best I can. Working through 5 right now. May I claim 10, please?

If I can get them done, I'd also like 2, but let's not get ahead!

Section 3 is already claimed by another. I'll stick you in for 10 and 2. :)

Hi Tricia—I would like to try reading chapter 11, "Zoo-Loo." I'm a new reader here, but have just finished reading three chapters of "The Well at the World's End."

Thank you! 11 is yours.

It should clock in at around 40 minutes finished recording. :)

Thanks Tricia—I notice that it is called section 11 in the magic window, but the chapter title is actually IX, I'm assuming I should call it chapter "nine" in the recording...let me know if I'm wrong. Another question—I think I see a few typos in the text, for instance, I'm pretty sure the word "expend" near the beginning of the fourth paragraph, should be "expand." Again, later in the text, the French word, "pas," is spelled "fas," and while it may be that this is intentional (the speaker is not native French), I think it's unlikely. Should I make such corrections at my discretion, stick to the text, or consult with you?
Thanks,
David

Yes, say "Chapter 9". Two of the chapters were split up because they were so long, hence the section and chapter numbers don't line up.

Regarding typos: fix them at your discretion. I've found that the author speaks decent French, so it's unlikely he's going to butcher it too much. 8-) Feel free to ask about any that you're unsure of.

Hi Tricia—Here's my upload of chapter 9. File length: 41min, 36sec.

https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/enormousroom_09_cummings_128kb.mp3

Hope it's satisfactory. If it is, I would be very willing to take on sections 12 and 13.
Thanks.

Chapter 9:

Should be named enormousroom_11. You knocked out the actual section 9 when you called this one 9. (I can reinstate it, so that's OK; just be sure to use the SECTION number in file names.)

13:50 - throat clearing

approx 40:33-40:38 - long pause. Please cut it down a little.

Great reading! I'm honored to give you 12 and 13. :) One suggestion, though: when a character yells or screams, try to make it more intense, but not quite as loud as you've done here. For the listener, a yell or scream louder than the surrounding narrative can be quite jarring. ;)

Morning Tricia. Mind if I snag Chapter 3: A Pilgrim's Progress?

It'll be about 45-50 minutes of finished recording.

Looking back at your old posts, it doesn't look like you've done a "1-minute test" to check your settings. I'll pencil you in for this, but please do the test first. It'd be horrible to record this whole chapter, only to have to redo it because some setting was incorrect! Here's a link to instructions: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test

How do you want to be credited in the catalog?

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry about the section/chapter confusion.

I'll get on the next section as soon as I can.

Thanks for making sure I had my specs right! That link is for my one-minute test.

Do people typically use their forum name or IRL name in the catalog?
