I may do 6 eventually, but yeah, I need to deal with this first.

It will take me a bit to completely reedit section 2, let alone 3. Due to increasing time constraints, I do not know when I will be able to do it. I think you should let someone else do it. I will make section two as best I can, and come back when I am better equipped to provide higher quality works.

OK, sounds like a plan. I'll remove you from 3 for now, and when you're ready, you can reclaim it again if it's available. :)

Hi!

Now that I've finished with all my other projects, may I also claim section 5? They go together and it seems to make sense to me. This is so awesome and fascinating! Can't wait to get started!!

Life continues to become hectic. My recording situation has become more troublesome, an I have even less time, while my recording space is being disrupted. I did what I could, but have been unable to finish the re-recording. I do not find myself equipped to finish section 2 at this time. If, at a later date, I am able to return to librivox I will, but for now, I am not. I am truly sorry for taking your time, and the space of more able editors and recorders.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll reopen the section for now. If and when you are able to record again, feel free to come back. If the section is not already claimed or recorded by someone else, you could have it again. This is a slow-moving project, so it's definitely possible. :)

Thank you!

The section number in the file name should be just 04. Chapter 4, part 2 will be 05 (section 5 as indicated in the Magic Window). No worries; I'll fix it at cataloging time. Just letting you know for future projects that the section number is what is used in file names. 8-) 8-)

Section 4 PL OK, but I'll mention two things to keep in mind in future recordings:

(1) Volume is a bit high, and you have clipping (going over maximum, which can cause distortion) when you're speaking loudly. It's something to be aware of when recording. If a character shouts, perhaps back away from the mic so that it's not so loud, or make your voice more intense rather than loud.

(2) Some of your editing patches are much quieter than the surrounding text. When editing in a patch, listen to it in relation to the surrounding audio, and adjust the patch's volume accordingly with the Amplify effect. (On a similar vein, listen to the sentence you're wanting to patch into, and try to match the expression with the original. It seemed like the French word for "bed" or "cot" or whatever it was had been patched in a few places, without much regard for how well the sound of the word fit in the sentence.)

This is being picky. :) You read this quite well. Thank you!
