COMPLETE: Life and Lillian Gish by Albert Bigelow Paine - dl
thanks again, John. The sheer thought of doing a weekend trip somewhere to "see the war" is incomprehensible to me. Times and mentalities must have been different back then.johnb2 wrote: ↑April 12th, 2018, 4:56 pm Part 3 /Chapter 12 @ 5:31

This section is again PL ok. You're making my job really easy here, John.

thank you John, two great chapters yet again. I had to grin at the part where the nun responsible for stage plays told Lilian not to go into the convent but rather on stage That must have been a serious sin for her back then.
Section 15 is already PL ok.
One note for Section 20 though:
> at 4:04: please insert missing paragraph: “In the act where she landed on the wall, she left it with a step-down of six feet. The wire, of course, lifted her down, but in this performance something was wrong, and she literally stepped into space. The sickening, helpless feeling of expecting support and finding none! The fall made her quite ill; her understudy had to finish the play.
“I cried all night,” she wrote Nell, “I was so lonely and broken-hearted.”
thanks
Sonia

thank you Carolin, this is a very beautiful narration I really enjoyed listening to this section and I hope I hear more from you. (ah I see you claimed another chapter still )
Textually there were no errors at all, but there is one technical detail that needs to be corrected:
> your bitrate is 192 kbps instead of the required 128 kbps. Do you use Audacity ? Because you can change the settings in the exporting to mp3 phase, please do the following:
> go to File / Export Audio
> open Options in the lower right corner
> select the following settings: Bit Rate Mode: Constant / Quality: 128 kbps / Channel Mode: Joint Stereo
> press Ok
These settings should automatically be saved and you don't have to worry about it for your next recordings. Actually your last chapter had the correct settings, so you must have manually changed something for this file
If anything is still unclear, don't hesitate to ask.
Please reupload with the exact same file name, so the new recording will replace the old recording in the MW.
Thank you
Sonia
