Interesting read! I never knew about this thing. :)

One thing I'd like to check; a large part of the section is describing a diagram, with sentences such as
"The pencil is at the junction of two small bars CC’, which are hinged at their other end to the levers AA’."
I pronounced these terms as you would in math (since it's a diagram), as cee-cee-prime and a-a-prime. Hope that's ok?
