Hello, Kim.

May I claim sections 10, 11, and 13?

Many thanks,

You'll have to wait for Kim's response, but thanks in advance from me anyway, Philip. This project was first put up and I came on board as dpl a long time ago, but it was abandoned, so I'm thrilled to see someone enthusiastic about moving it along towards completion.

I've added you in, since Kim hasn't logged into the forum in over 2 months. :(

Pattymarie - feel free to act as BC as much as you like (adding claims, adding submitted sections), and/or I'll continue to fill in the gaps.

I'm going to say you can have it, Elizabeth, and go make my first ever try at entering a reader in the magic window since our bc has been absent for about two months. Let's hope I don't bungle it and have to send an sos to our mc.

Edit:

Whew. Did it. It wasn't difficult, but I can't help feeling a bit flushed at acquiring a new skill at Librivox. The only thing that wasn't utterly straightforward was having to find a completed file of yours to get your catalog name.

Ah! I didn't realize you had never done it before. :)

Good job! I'm not sure what you mean by having to find a completed file to get the catalog name. Once a reader is in the system (their name is in the pick list in the MW), you don't need their catalog name. That's entered when a new reader is put into the system. :hmm: All you should need to do is enter their name in the box, pick their name from the list, enter the section number(s), and click Add.

I think it's because she was a new reader to this project that I had to give her "display name" for the catalog in the "Add New Reader" process. I got it by finding a completed project she had participated in, clicking on her forum name there and getting her catalog page with her display name on it. :) My own forum name and display name are the same, but I've seen a lot of people, including Elizabeth now, for whom they are different.

Thanks! Do you want us to read the footnotes or just the main body of the text?

The BC said:
carteki wrote: January 10th, 2018, 11:54 pm Regarding footnotes, it is up to the reader's discretion whether to include them or not. And yes, you're correct in thinking that they should be inserted at a logical break, rather than where they are noted in the text.
We use the format "Footnote"..... "End of Footnote" when including them.

 Let's just say whoever sees it first does the duties, to let prospective readers know as soon as possible. I'm half the world away from North American readers so there can be a time lapse even if I'm checking daily, which isn't always the case.
