At 6:21 I heard: "mad to draw up so absurd a treatment" - the text: "mad to draw up so absurd a testament." This doesn't really alter the sense of the story; let's let it pass.

Hi wild and a big welcome to LibriVox! :D I have assigned that section to you but before you record it, please make and upload a 1 minute test to be sure your recording set up is OK. Instructions can be found in our Wiki and in the first post of this project but Here is a video that may help too: How to Make your 1 minute test.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlaRY_-bcfs and then How to Upload your 1 minute test How to Upload your 1 minute test

(You may post the link to your test in this forum and I will see it much more quickly)

I also recommend Getting To Know our Forums Getting To Know Our Forums

We just want to check out your technical specs. Don't forget to post the link either in this thread or in Listeners WAnted forum. And how would you like to be credited in our catalog? What name? most of us use our real name but it is up to you.

Thank you. You have all the right technical specs and your voice is very nice but it is almost drowned out by the very loud hum in the background. The first thing to do is to turn off any appliances or electrical things while you record and if possible move further away from your computer. It seems to be in the 50- cycle range mostly. Secondly you will need to increase the volume of your recording. We measure this in decibels and aim at 89 dB; your recording is now at 77 dB. moving closer to the microphone, speaking a bit louder and increasing the volume imput all may help.

Here is a video about our forums http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnxpcbnEjoQ&feature=youtu.be. If you are using Audacity recording software, this video will help you judge volume http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9WF82rf81o . Finally, here is a video on how to amplify a file using Audacity http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_z607awyLw If you are not using this program let me know and we will work with you to get you recording as soon as possible. Here is your welcome flower Image

Ask lots of questions. We are a helpful bunch here.

Oops. I forgot to tell you that you should try to fix the little problems, make another recording, call it Test 2 or something and upload it then post the new test here.
