Nice read and a good story.
I'm expecting to have a busy weekend, so if you finish Chapter 11 I might not get to it before Monday.

You clearly had a great time reading this one, particularly the voice of Ali.

at 5:45 a sentence is missing: "For days he discussed the matter with the captain, who at last persuaded him to make the journey." If you have recorded this and -ahem- left it on the cutting room floor - I'll ask you to edit it back in there. If you didn't record it I'd say skip it - most people's voices change from day to day and a newly-recorded version would probably stick out in listeners ears as an edit. The sense of the story is the same with or without it.shushudolphin wrote: ↑April 12th, 2018, 1:42 pm Here's chapter 3, clocking in at 37:36.

At 17:25 "Give us to the perjurer" should have been "Give to us the perjurer" - I'm inclined to not ask for a change.
At 24:35 you edited the "Who art" off "Who art thou?" I can tell you recorded it, because the tiniest bit of "art" is left in. That should be restored.
You should have left 5 seconds silence at the end of the chapter. This is a long standing LibriVox standard. I'm asking that you edit an additional 4 seconds of silence on to the end of the recording. It's nice to have around 3/4 second before the first words at the beginning, too, but it can stay with the 1/4 second you gave it.
In general - a great recording! There is a lot of dynamic range in your chapter, and some of the places where you are just about shouting come very -very- close to clipping. (But they don't; that's a good thing.) Still, you might want to add a bit of compression to future chapters you record.
Bar Shalmon has a lot of trouble keeping his word - or even remembering his promises.

I fixed the "who art thou" and added some compression. Unfortunately, the "who art thou" definitely sounds like an edit. Hope this is okay, I'm just getting used to audacity.

I’m working a late shift today - I’ll proof listen late.
