Linda:

I wouldn't mind assigning them to you, either. :) Thank you for "filling out" this project.

Philip

A triumph of pronunciation! Like Section 27, it needs de-amplifying to meet the Librivox standard of around 89dB.

Best,

Sounds great, Linda. I look forward to hearing your other sections.

I'm holding off giving a PL OK only because this section is louder than the other sections in this project, which are averaging 89dB. You'll notice the red spikes showing clipping (though I didn't actually hear the clipping).

Best,

Barbara

Funny thing about the red spikes -- I did compress all of them before submission....hmmmm.

I will de-amplify and run thru checker again prior to re-submitting those sections - very sorry for that.

Ok, here are Sections 27 and 35, de-amplified to about 89:

https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/americanlanguage_27_mencken_128kb.mp3 [28:38]
https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/americanlanguage_35_mencken_128kb.mp3 [21:55]

Also, please feel free to comment, correct and advise on the pronunciations - it's especially important in a piece like this one, so I do welcome constructive criticism!
