I'm reposting them here in case you may find this helpful. Mozart, of course if you have anything to add or clarify on this, then feel free!
mightyfelix wrote: August 29th, 2017, 8:56 pm Also, specific to this project, I think it would be helpful to follow along with the text to note where music will be inserted. Section 1 doesn't have any music, but on the other sections, we need to make sure there is a sufficient pause (3-5 seconds) everywhere that music will end up going, to make it easier to insert that music. ... There are also a few places (such as page 59, 75, 158) where there are two or more bits of music separated by only one word or a few words, and I think it would be helpful ... to follow along to make sure that those words don't get missed.
mightyfelix wrote: August 30th, 2017, 9:05 pm I guess when you listen [to the musical parts], ... maybe just check to make sure that no selections are missing and, if possible, that they're all in the correct order? I don't know if you read music at all, but you may be able to at least compare the sound with the musical score and if something looks way off (like there are only three notes on the page, but the selection in the recording is very long, for instance), let me know.
Hi Devorah,

What do you think about what Jake says? How about his suggestion? what do you think?

I don't have a strong feeling on that either way. Whatever you two think works best will be fine by me.

Friends,

Many thanks for your valuable instructions and advice! As we are awaiting more wisdom to improve our project, I will happily start PL today. Again, all your inputs are invaluable. I can't wait to work together with all of us in this team and learn from each of you!

Jessie,
Would it be better for you if there was a separate PL for music files, and one for narration? Meaning, I don't know how much you know about music, and if you would be able to follow along in the book for the music files, to make sure that we didn't miss any, etc.
What would be best for you?

I believe it's much nicer that we have a PL for the music part. Before we find one, I surely will continue with the reading part.
(As a backup, my high-school-student daughter is my music teacher. ^_^)

Thanks again for all the nice words!

Best,
Jessie

Friends,

Let's take an example of section 7, chapter 21 (part 3), which I listened to and which I believe is perfectly read. (though I don't understand German, which appeared occasionally.)

There are music notes among the content, listed in the following, but I did not see it noted in MW.

10:28 in page 53
10:56, 11:11, 12:01, in page 54

Do we plan to insert those music pieces, or shall I just note this session as PL OK.

Regards,
Jessie

Those are listed in the MW: it's under Section 8, as the Music for Chap. 21 Part 3. In the notes section. So, the one on page 53 in the MW is mentioned as p53a, and the ones on page 54 are p54a, p54b, and p54c.
Does that make sense?
If everything in the narrated section is good, then mark it as PL OK. If your daughter would be able and willing to do the music PLing, let her have at it! But if not, I'll see if I can find one. Whatever works best for you and your daughter.

Thanks Czanda! Still waiting for a DPL...
okay, no problem. I'll continue nevertheless. Can I have permission to post my contributions in the MW? I'll think about PLing - have never DPL'd except in solos, not ready for that, esp. with musical interludes. Jake is very good, though (hint :?: )

Mozart, I'd also recommend that you add a note to section 7 to the effect that the music still needs to be added, similar to the note we have on section 3. This will help stop things from falling through the cracks when it comes time to put everything together.

PL note:

Feedback on 21:24 recording of Section 13.
Please leave a 5-second silence at 7:15 for the music piece p78a, between "Bach writes an accompaniment descriptive of the knocking of the Lord —" and "He is fond, again, of representing laughter in music"

The rest is perfect, I just want to leave it here for the future editor's info - timestamp for each piece of music on each page, if that's necessary. Otherwise, I may not list such information again.

1:09, 1:15, 2:26, 2:44, p75a, p75b, p75c, p75d
3:08, 3:38, 4:12, p76a, p76b, p76c
5:22, 6:54, p77a, p77b
7:15, 8:12, p78a, p78b
9:39, 10:02, p79a, p79b
11:15, 11:35, 12:15, p80a, p80b, p80c
12:31, 13:36, 13:55, p81a, p81b, p81c
14:13, 14:44, 15:19, p82a, p82b, p82c
16:31, 17:34, p83a, p83b
17:54, 18:30, p84a, p84b
19:08, 20:18, p85a, p85b
21:05, p86a (p86b will be in section 16)

thanks. Glad it's okay. 5s. silence added as requested, and reuploading now.

I asked my librarian about the noise, and she said, "no one would come here
if they weren't allowed to talk out loud." So I read out loud.

Je lis à haute voix car refléchir fait trop de bruit!

Many thanks for the swift update. It is PL OK.

I wonder if it does no extra help to anyone if I note the spot for each piece of music or not. I assume that in the future I will not note it down for each timestamp saved for the music. - The later spots each get postponed by 5 seconds after this edition, in this case.

Jessie

I noted it PL OK. Gee, I could figure out which one is which, like I am listening to French or German. ^_^
Thanks for the beautiful contribution!
