Nice job on section 9! I thought these pages were rather interesting! We are finally starting to see the same people referred to more than once and get a glimpse of their story and how they were each affected by Mr. Asbury.

There were a couple more "blanks" in this one (though luckily not near as many as in the previous section!) that I'd like removed. There is also an interesting footnote that should be read.

At about 3:31- "my dear friend Mr. S blank y" remove "blank"
The footnote is on page 94. I think the best spot to insert it would be at about 7:55, after "people who attended to hear the word." Say "Footnote: [Read the footnote]. End of footnote" And then continue with the text.
At about 12:41- "in a chaise to Mr. L blank's" remove "blank"

One other note that I'd like to make, just as a tip for the future. I noticed a few spots that seemed to be a good bit softer than the surrounding speech. It sounded like maybe you'd had to re-record and patch something in there. One technique to make those spots blend in to the rest of your speech, so that you can't tell by listening that it was recorded later, is to play with the volume in those places. Often I'll listen to my own re-takes after patching them in, and if they sound louder or softer than the rest of my speech, I'll highlight the pieces that seem to stand out the most and amplify or de-amplify by, maybe, 1 to 3 dB. Play with it, if you like, for your future readings, and see how you like the result. But don't worry about it for this one. :D

Hi, made corrections to 8 and 9. Removed "blank" on names and put in five for instead of verse.

Thanks, Kathleen! Section 8 is PL ok now.

Section 9 still has one more blank. It's now at about 12:47. "in a chaise to Mr. L blank's"

Certainly! Welcome to the project, and welcome to LibriVox! I'm honored that you chose this project for your first reading. :) I see that your one minute test has already been approved, and on the first try, too! Congratulations!

So you want your catalogue name to be the same as your forum name, is that right? (This is the name you'll say when you read the "Recording by so-and-so" bit.)

These two sections are yours, and you can begin recording whenever you like. You won't see them "officially" assigned to you until I get back to my home computer in another 4 or 5 hours, though.

Ok, you're in! Here is your personal reader page ------> https://librivox.org/reader/12387

This is where you can see every project you are currently involved in, and, when they are finished, you will see all of your completed projects there, too! When you click on "Reader section details" near the top, you can also see more details on your current projects, including which sections you've been assigned, which ones are ready for PL (proof listening), and which ones are completed, among other things. You can also get to this page by clicking on your name in the MW (magic window) in the first post of any project you're signed up for.

Let me know if any questions or problems arise! :D

Hello!

It doesn't seem that anyone has claimed Section 7 yet; I'd love to give it a go. This will be my first contribution, and I'd like to use my name: Jordan Hazelrig.
