Accept you will mess up but just redo the flubs and keep going (pause rather than stop if you have to answer the phone etc). You will have some editing to do, but that will be way easier (and sound smoother) than stopping and starting and doing "little bites". But that's just how I would do it. Of course, I'm not an expert, just done it a few times
