Best,

Nicely read Barbara.

The sung words in the text come as follows:
It would be hard to find a more satisfactory chorus even in the Messiah, but I do not think the music was originally intended for these words:

The music inserts in the next section "Handel and the Speaking Voice" ... Are also not in place according to the text.
28:29 - the images share details of which person composed which passage. Your choice as to whether to include this or not.
Cheers
Kim

Yes, Kim, I aligned composer and musical interludes  as well as I could for a listener, rather than a reader. I didn't leave anything out and the music is always attributed to the appropriate composer in the text. The typesetting of the images was pretty random but a reader can always look back or forwards.

I always appreciate a careful PL, so thank you!

Best,

Barbara

I would be willing to pl the sections that are currently assigned (10 & 11) without proof listeners. This would be my first effort at this--but I have read the instructions and the introduction to the project on the project page.

Hi, Carolin,

Can I claim section 30 - Chapter 23, Death?

P.S.
I have absolute zero level of experience.
And I am not a native speaker, and my English is a cripple.
So if I fail, and I am sure of it, I will let know and it will be all right?

I have uploaded. It is a poor job.
(not recorded so fast as since my last post, no.
I had recorded before, then created account on LibriVox).

Strangely, listening at x1.5 speed makes it more bearable (if it is possible).

Hi igor, welcome to librivox!

You skipped a couple of steps there :) please complete the one minute test before taking any other steps. This is to be sure that your technical settings are all right.

I dont think that your recording is so terrible as you seem to think. But if you are uncomfortable recording in English, why don't you record something in your native language? All languages are welcome! I can point you to an open collection and help you find texts if you like.

Thanks!
Carolin

Thank you Carolin, you are very kind.

1-minute test - viewtopic.php?f=21&t=66249

But it is rather late, isn't it?

Answering to your questions,
first, I do not like my country's literature. I think it is a trauma suffered from school education.
second, recording in English might help me to improve my speaking skills by means of additional motivation.
