Hey Carolin,

Firstly, I am so sorry this is so late. The whole process took me a whole lot longer than I anticipated. I will try to manage my time better in future.

I am providing you with two links here. The first one is the original. I thought the volume on it sounded fine but it fell outside required range so I made an amplified copy, but it, sadly, was clipped, as I thought it would be. I didn't know which one to go with so I thought I would let you make the call. Sorry about this.

Hi winston, thank you for this section

It happens often that you cant amplify all the way to 89 decibel without clipping. In those cases, amplify as far as you can without clipping and then use the leveler http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Levelling
This tool only increases the quieter bits

Ill add the quieter version to the magic window. Cheryl will listen shortly and let you know if you need to make any other edits beside trying out the leveler

Sorry it's taken me so long. I've actually recorded the chapter four times -- can't quite get the right balance between volume and popping. I keep trying different combinations of recording volume and mic position -- still not perfect, but hopefully okay.

Section 3 Pl notes - two short repeats:
14:10 "He used to gallop Rebecca over the .... He used to gallop.."
25:20 (or so) "The Miss Broadbacks, ... as it was called....The Miss Broadbacks...."
All else was ok and well read - very nice, I thought. Also, the volume was ok too. It may not be at specs, but your voice carries well. I think it is loud enough.

Thanks for the heads-up Cheryll. Eish those were two bad editing overlooks. Both fixed now though.

And Carolin, I leveled it some as well.

Here's Chapter 5 for PL

I only noticed this while I was editing, but there is quite a bit of bird chatter in the background, but I thought I'd upload it, and ask for PL and see if it's too distracting. Not sure what I can do to help it if the birds do turn out to be too loud though... Thoughts?
